Day 41 of 100 blogs in 100 days

Day 41 of visiting 100 blogs in 100 days
(posting one day in advance due to Hurricane Relief duty)

I love woodworking and fine carpentry! There was a time when I walked into my local Home Depot or Lowes and the regulars would ask me what I was building next. I've built a variety of projects over the years - bookshelves, a mailbox, adirondack chairs, dog houses, decks, sheds, even a big barn. I used to watch religiously This Old House, The New Yankee Workshop and a handful of other home improvement shows. How they build stuff in 2 episodes is pretty cool - 4 weekends down to 2 hours! Most people rave about electronic gadgets, but the truth is power tools is the ultimate.

The Woodworking Magazine blog provides "additional editorial content and instructions we cannot fit in the printed version. Here you can follow our progress as we put together future issues of the magazine and post our early testing results plus photos of the techniques and projects as they are developed."

Woodworking Magazine teaches the fundamental knowledge necessary for good craftsmanship. Our goal is to make you an independent, mindful and competent woodworker by filling in the inevitable knowledge gaps left if you taught the craft to yourself. To ensure that our magazine is of the highest quality, we will challenge woodworking's conventional wisdom to find the techniques, materials and tools that work best. Every operation and tool you see in Woodworking Magazine has been tested numerous times by our staff of professional and enthusiastic woodworkers in our shop in Cincinnati, Ohio.
