Mac Eye For The PC Guy ?

Listen up Mac and Palm boy and girls...

The Nashville Palm Users Group meeting is Saturday, February 10th at 10:00am.

Microsoft Vista has been released and there's been a lot of comparisons to how similar/dissimilar it with to Apple's OS X. With all the hype and hoopla over Apple's operating system on television and the Internet (not to mention our meetings), we thought it was high time to take a look at what all the fuss was about. This month, NPUG will be giving a test drive of Mac OS X from the perspective of someone switching from Windows. We will look at the pluses and minus of Mac OS and see exactly what it's like to sync your Palm OS device with the "other" OS.

Of course switching from Windows to OS X doesn't mean that you have to leave your favorite applications behind. Thanks to software such as Apple's Boot Camp and Parallels Desktop, you - can - have your cake and eat it too. So after the initial test drive of OS X, we'll focus on how to run Windows on your Mac through the use of Parallels Desktop.

Every now and then we step beyond the boundaries of Palm OS and this is one of those meetings. But if you've ever wondered what it would be like to run a different operating system and how it would impact your PDA use, this is a meeting that you'll surely want to attend.
