Pranksters revisited

Me thinks one of the greatest joys in life is reconnecting with old work buddies.

I use to work with these two guys in the same company over two ago in Cools Springs - Dave & Dave - before I got transported to North Carolina. Not only were they nice guys to pass the time, gripe a little, have lunch, tell a few jokes with, but actually decent enough to hang out with after hours.

Of course, I met up with them after a long absence at the Mothership BBQ.

I'll use first names only to be on best corporate behavior... you can never be too careful!

This Dave (below) is actually pretty competent in the realm of Cold Fusion programming. In other words, he could fix with a few lines a code the company's website that was pretty wobbly at the knees and ended up doing some amazing work pulling the site off life support. A true unsung heroe in my book. He never threw a hissy fit, so for an IT guy, Dave was exceedingly more than tolerable and actually preferred talking about movies instead.

The other Dave is a marketing, advertising and PR guy, so in a sense, we're cut out of the same cloth. We both have a fondness for practical jokes and the full repetoire of office pranks. Dang, we were good too. We recounted the classic ones (a prankster never gives away the goods) played on the unsuspecting souls at the office.

Dave has a respectable job now in real estate marketing. He still tailgates at Titans games, enjoys Predators hockey, Palm software, Macintoshes and plays paintball (which involves exercise). My kind of guy (except for the paintball - which involves exercise). Dave even hooked me up with two tickets to the Ravens - Titans game on the fifty yard line. Thanks Dude, UDAMAN.

Here's Dave enjoying some Mothership BBQ.
